Xena Achilleos
Hi, I’m Xena. I’m a character animator who has been working full time in the 2D animation industry since 2020.
I graduated from Griffith University with a Bachelor of Animation and class 1A Honors, after directing and lead animating two short films. Since then I have worked as a freelancer across multiple studios, including PrincessBento, Studio Moshi, and Pixel Zoo. My primary role has been rigged animator, but I have also gotten experience as a storyboard artist, compositor, rigger, and retake artist.
Outside of my freelance work, I try to keep my artistic skills honed. I enjoy the exercise of creating musical animatics on my youtube channel, Xenanimate, that has garnered over 300,000 views in its lifetime. I am also a co-contributor to an arts eduction blog ArtNerds! on substack.
I’m a big history buff, and love reading classic literature whenever my hands get too sore to work. I live in Brisbane, Australia, with my roomates and their two guinea pigs.
